Located in the same building as sibling company Rosemead, this rum-based bar serves twenty different cocktails, the majority of which are classics and evenly split between rum and other spirits. It’s a location where you want to spend a Friday night with friends, enjoy the music and the chats, and try everything on the food and cocktail menu!

One-Ninety Bar
The One-Ninety Bar by Four Seasons is a day-to-night bar destination with an outdoor patio nestled among the hotel’s gorgeous tropical gardens. There is absolutely no stigma associated with day drinking, and there is no more enjoyable location to do it. The Wild Flower, a gin, elderflower liquor, lemon, lavender bitters, and prosecco-based cocktail, is one of the establishment’s signature drinks. Bar manager Gabriel Carlos (previously of Manhattan) runs the business.
During “Blue Hour,” which runs from 5.30 to 7.30, go there. Barbary Coast
Run by industry veterans Celia Schoonraad and Michael Callahan (the chatty original bartender of 28 HongKong Street), it is modelled after San Francisco’s Barbary Coast in the middle of the 1800s, a district established amid the chaotic 1849 California Gold Rush.
There are two other types of bars there: Deadfall, a replica of the seedy dive taverns of the era, welcomes you with greasy fares like Jalapeo Poppers, tater tot sandos, and House Nachos, with limitless queso. Head upstairs to the Ballroom for something more upscale and exclusive. The room is centred on sofas, couches, and private booths that provide Billecart Champagne-on-demand with the touch of a button. Junior The Pocket Bar
Junior The Pocket Bar is one of Singapore’s best-kept secrets and is tucked away inside a shophouse with plush red décor, high ceilings, and heritage accents. But it’s a secret that deserves to be revealed. Formerly a member of The Proof Collective, Joe Alessandroni now operates Junior The Pocket Bar independently. It has moved to a larger, yet equally cozy, location on Ann Siang Hill.
The menu has been updated to include the Lacto Lime Soda, which is now available with or without tequila, as well as numerous cocktails with Chinese New Year themes. Order the Guaranteed Abundance, which is created with lapsang souchang, braised abalone, green walnut liqueur, fino sherry, and luck.

Live Twice
Visit Live Twice if you want the atmosphere of a classy Japanese bar without any of the rigid pretentiousness. Live Twice has the impression of existing in a tiny, secret universe all by itself.

Papa Doble Singapore
It’s because the Keong Saik Road location was once known as The Old Man Singapore before changing its name at the beginning of this year after separating from its identically named Hong Kong counterpart. The new name was chosen because co-founder and owner Andrew Yap wanted to offer his Ernest Hemingway tribute bar a new beginning and the flexibility to go in any direction they wanted.
Additionally, Papa Doble now serves a cocktail bearing its name. It is based on Hemingway’s predilection for his Daiquiri to be served “without sugar and with double rum,” and it evolved into its drink, the Hemingway Daiquiri, after further additions of maraschino liqueur and grapefruit juice. Similar to this, Yap’s version follows the same format with the addition of green peppers.
Papa Doble is still presenting cocktails from The Old Man Singapore’s V3 menu as of right now, but Yap hopes to update the selections by April of this year. Due to the rising cost of ingredients, prices are also anticipated to increase.

The Other Roof
A brand-new idea in tea-finished spirits and cocktails, all derived from custom tea spirits, is presented by The Other Roof. It is now the first and only location in the world where all of the various spirits are manufactured in-house through the art of finishing by the skilled hands of its staff, led by Dario Knox. The Other Roof has over 400 different spirits that are all tea-finished.
